Science: Creating and designing effective teaching strategies

By the end of the CETS course you will have:

•    mapped syllabus content statements against test items
•    identified misconceptions revealed in test item distractors
•    critically analysed teaching strategies proposed to address syllabus content statements
•    constructed a teaching strategy to address identified learning issues surrounding a specific content statement

A feature of this course is the peer-reviewing of teaching strategies using the Quality Teaching Framework criteria. However, this requires the course to be staged; whereby ALL need to be at a certain stage by a particular time. Typically, participants will have two weeks to complete each stage.

Note: Participants relinquish copyright of any teaching strategy produced to STANSW.

IMPORTANT: This course has fixed deadlines.
