The STANSW Chem STEM Conference at Macquarie University will provide an opportunity for 7-12 teachers to focus on linking the new NESA chemistry syllabus with industry including nanotechnology and medical engineering. This conference will provide stimulus for teachers to include the Learning Across the Curriculum ‘Work and Enterprise’ into their classroom and give students authentic opportunities to link their chemistry learning with industry practice.

K-6 PROGRAM
In the primary strand, workshops will have a STEM focus through the lens of Material World and Digital Technologies as well as other areas of the K-6 Science and Technology syllabus.

Come along and join with like-minded teachers who want to refresh or upskill their science pedagogy and science knowledge.  There are some amazing workshops that will fill your kit bag with goodies to take back to school to use immediately in the classroom.

The conference will also help build a network that you can keep in contact with into the future so that collaboration builds across the state. This conference also helps you meet the standards of participating with your teaching association. There will also be some displayers with goods to show as well teachers from all sectors to share discussion of the transition into stage 4 science.
