Are you interested in applying for Lead or Highly Accomplished accreditation with NESA?

In partnership with NESA, spanning across 3 connecting, learning, and sharing sessions, this online course aims to specifically help science teachers achieve Highly Accomplished Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation in line with NESA’s new policy.

Day 1

Inspiration Session 1: Demystifying the higher levels of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
Tuesday 4th April 2023
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

This session involves a deep dive into the highly accomplished and lead teaching standards.
Where are you situated in your teaching, learning and leading practice, highly accomplished or lead?
We discover the impact HALT may have on your colleagues and your school.
What does HALT look like and through the lens of your role in your school what could HALT look like in your school.

 

Day 2

Inspiration Session 2 : Compare and share evidence through the construction of sets and modules
Tuesday 18th July 2023
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

This session focuses on your evidence. Is it robust? Is anything missing?
We provide hints and trick to constructing your sets and modules around your evidence making them ready for submission.
If anyone has had feedback on a submission we support and encourage, refine and inspire.

 

Day 3

Inspiration Session 3: Observations of practice plus hurdles and blockers
Tuesday 7 November 2023
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

This session focuses on your observations of practice in every way, shape, and form and how STANSW can support you.
We also tackle any hurdles in your application process, submitting, or receiving feedback on any submissions, to NESA.

We are all on the same journey, improving student learning outcomes through highly accomplished or lead teaching as we aim to make NSW one of the best education systems in the world.

Session detail may change depending on the needs of participants.

Who should attend? Specifically designed for Science teachers seeking HALT accreditation.
