As we look to the future and the type of Association we want to be, we've been articulating what's important to us, and coming together as a community of science educators is paramount in our thinking. It speaks to the sense of belonging, of being supported, of having needs heard and met and advocated for, and that's what we are here for - we are your Association here for you.

Memberships will expire at the end of 2021.  Renewals will be open from November onwards.

Your membership not only provides you with resources, communities of practice and professional learning opportunities that drive excellence in science education, it helps us stand as a strong advocate for science educators amplifying your voice on things that matter to you.

During 2021 we

  • Celebrated 70 years of supporting science teachers across the state through a series of free online events that explored the advancement in science and education.
  • Expanded our Primary Teachers Network and delivered a K-10 Conference to focus on support for Stage 1 - 4  teachers with a focus on general capabilities
  • Delivered Professional Learning to support Stage 5 and 6 Teachers at Meet the Markers and our inaugural Stage 6 Conference.
  • Continued to advocate for a longer timeframe for the curriculum reform and have contributed to the NESA curriculum reform consultation processes.
  • Supported pre-service teachers through free professional learning opportunities.

Next year we will be building on these activities, expanding our networks and increasing our reach and support to science teachers across the state.

We trust that you, your school and your students have been able to benefit from your membership with the Science Teachers Association NSW and we look forward to continuing to support you during 2022.
