Judging Rubrics

 

Entries in the STANSW Young Scientist Awards take the form of an investigation, invention, innovative device or an ICT application, and are judged using a unique set of age-specific judging rubrics.

Winning projects are the ones that meet the criteria at the highest level (Level 5: High – Level 1: Low). The 5 distinct levels complement the five performance bands that are used in most school assessment reporting.

Schools are welcome to download the Word document and adapt for use in internal school assessments.
