Central West and Orana region teachers, join us at Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo this October for a day of professional development, networking and zoo adventures!
Hosted by Taronga Education and the Science Teachers’ Association of NSW (STANSW), this event is an opportunity to connect with fellow teachers from around the region. Talk science education, collaborate with teachers and hear about opportunities for regional schools, including the Young Scientist Program.
With a primary stream and secondary stream, the day is suitable for primary teachers looking to enhance their science lessons, as well as secondary science teachers looking for support, ideas and resources.
Date & Time: Thursday, 9th October 2025, from 9am
Location: Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo
Cost: FREE. Please note this event is for NSW teachers.
Teachers will be taken on a walking tour of the educational facilities, followed by a primary or secondary professional development workshop and an authentic safari experience around the zoo circuit.
Note: there are limited spots available, so please only register if you are able to come. There will also be a Teacher Preview held on the same day at Taronga Zoo Sydney for Sydney-based teachers.
