Term 3 Primary Teachers’ Network Meeting
Connect with like-minded primary teachers and discuss ways to enhance your primary science lessons.
This session covers:
- Fair-testing in the primary classroom: We’ll discuss how to help students find the answers to scientific questions in fair test enquiries by planning tests to collect data through changing, measuring and controlling variables. Share and compare activities that explore cause and effect relationships and encourage scientific thinking in young students.
- New K-6 Science & Technology Syllabus Updates: We’ll discuss updates and implementation advice related to the new primary syllabus.
- Young Scientist for Primary: We’ll hear from Anjali Rao, primary specialist science teacher and winner of the 2024 ASTA Teacher Award, on how to integrate Young Scientist into the primary classroom
This is an opportunity to ask questions to colleagues and collaborate as primary teachers with an interest in science.
