Meet the Markers of the 2024 HSC Investigating Science Examinations
STANSW’s annual Meet the Markers event serves as a crucial professional development opportunity for science teachers. Tailored for those who haven’t participated in Higher School Certificate examinations marking, the event deepens their understanding of the marking and judging processes. Attendees, including early career teachers entering senior classes and pre-service teachers, find it highly valuable gaining insights and strategies to better prepare students for the exams that lie ahead.
Our 2025 Conference will be held virtually, enabling access for teachers from all corners of NSW.

- 12 March, 4:30 – 7pm – Science Extension Exam Analysis
- 13 March, 4:30 – 7pm – Investigating Science Exam Analysis
- 17 March, 4:30 – 7pm – Physics Exam Analysis
- 18 March, 4:30 – 7pm – Chemistry Exam Analysis
- 19 March, 4:30 – 7pm – Biology Exam Analysis
- 20 March, 4:30 – 7pm – Earth and Environmental Science Exam Analysis

Completing Meet the Markers (Online) Exam Analysis Sessions (per subject) will contribute 2.5 hours of Professional Development in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum addressing standard descriptor 5.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
