Science in the House
5 August @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm AEST

Science in the House celebrates and showcases exemplary science education initiatives from schools in NSW with policy makers. On the cusp of National Science Week, Science in the House is an opportunity for Members of NSW Parliament to engage with the great work being done by science faculties and students in this state, and for schools to showcase their science faculty to policy makers.
STEM education fosters critical skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration, leading to a prosperous STEM workforce in NSW, driving innovation and jobs opportunities.
This event offers a glimpse of the science initiatives run by NSW schools ahead of National Science Week 2026,”Seeds of science: Nurturing knowledge for all”, which takes place from 15 – 23 August 2026 and explores the power of curiosity and inquiry in scientific understanding.
Members of the NSW Parliament and their staff will be invited to attend the exhibition space between the hours of 11.00am – 2.00 pm to see and engage with our schools, teachers and students.
We invite NSW schools to register to exhibit at Science in the House.
