About Christine Preston
Chris Preston has a unique teaching background having taught science in NSW schools at both the secondary and primary level. She has experience as a science teacher education lecturer in early childhood, primary and secondary science. Between 2004-2021 Chris taught kindergarten science in a Sydney school to maintain current field experience.
Chris completed her PhD in 2013 titled: Science Diagrams: Their effects on primary students’ conceptual understanding. She currently lecturies in: primary science and technology education K-6.
Chris’s current research interests are: teaching and learning science using toys, , effective science education practices for preservice and inservice teachers and use of representations in science education.
