About Dr Brent Wagner

Dr Brent Wagner is a Senior Lecturer in science and biology education in the Division of Education at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand. He teaches in the primary and secondary teacher education programmes and supervises postgraduate student research projects. Brent’s research focuses on inclusive practices and culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogies in science and biology education. He has a particular interest in finding ways science teaching and curriculum can support knowledge pluralism for learners who bring their diverse lifeworld experiences to science learning conversations.
