About Kira Westaway
Westaway reconstructs and date the environments experienced by early humans in Southeast Asia. She uses this exiting research program to reignite student curiosity for Earth science and creates effective learning environments using dynamic engagement, intrinsic motivation, visual stimulation and challenging activities that nurture student curiosity whatever their learner background. One of her most valuable tools for reigniting curiosity is mobile VR activities that are seamlessly embedded into practical content. By placing the students right in the middle of the action using VR in numerous multidisciplinary applications she has created the opportunity for these experiences to be shared across universities and schools.
