The outstanding contributions of teachers across NSW were celebrated at the Teachers’ Guild of NSW 2026 World Teachers’ Day Celebration and Presentation of Awards on Friday 30 October at the William Inglis Hotel, Warwick Farm.
Bringing together more than 450 guests, the evening recognised the dedication, innovation and impact of educators across all sectors of education, with more than 260 awards presented throughout the celebration.
The event was particularly special for the Science Teachers Association of NSW (STANSW), as it marked an opportunity to recognise the recipients of the STANSW 75th Anniversary Awards, celebrating the individuals making a meaningful difference to science education across NSW.
Established to mark STANSW’s 75th anniversary, the awards recognise excellence and contribution across the science education community, including early career teaching, classroom practice, science leadership, volunteer service, community outreach, STEM innovation, tertiary education, equity and regional education.
The awards shine a light on the breadth of talent, commitment and passion within the science teaching profession, acknowledging those who go above and beyond to support teachers, inspire scientific curiosity and strengthen science education in their communities.
STANSW thanks the Teachers’ Guild of NSW the congratulates all award recipients.
