2026 HSC Exam Preparation Lectures

New science syllabus

STANSW is excited to announce our HSC Exam Preparation Student Lectures for 2026. These online sessions will run during the school holidays and are designed to provide students with valuable insights before they sit their exams.
Delivered by experts in each subject area, the lectures will:
  • Explore the structure and requirements of the HSC exam
  • Review key module content and areas of focus
  • Provide proven strategies for exam technique and time management
  • Include practice questions and worked examples
At just $55 per student, these sessions offer an affordable, high-impact way for your students to sharpen their approach and boost their confidence.
We are also committed to ensuring access for all students. STANSW member schools classified as low SES (by ICSEA profile) may apply for free registration for their students. Applications for free registration close Monday 24 August. Complimentary Registration will be considered for up to 10 schools from low SES backgrounds (with a maximum of 5 students per school). Schools / Teachers applying must have a current STANSW membership.  Apply here.

Presented by Erin Munn – Cranbrook School
Erin Munn is an experienced Physics teacher and program coordinator at Cranbrook School, where she has fostered a culture of high expectations and collegial support among staff. A committed STANSW committee member and former Councillor, she has led the implementation of best-practice pedagogies and is dedicated to supporting both teachers and students in achieving success in Physics.

Chris has over 16 years of experience in teaching Science and Chemistry across both high school and university. He has been marking since 2016 and has experience as a Pilot Marker, Judge and Senior Marker.

With over 20 years of experience as a Science educator, currently a Leader of Learning in Science, committed to driving excellence in teaching and learning. Holds a Master of Education in School Education and currently pursuing Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation. A experienced Higher School Certificate (HSC) marker for over a decade, including as a Senior Marker for Chemistry and Science Extension.

2026 HSC Exam Preparation Lecture – Chemistry: Module 8: Applying Chemical Ideas
Thursday 1 October • 3 PM – 4 PM AEST

Presented by Andrew Eaton – Science Coordinator and Senior Chemistry Teacher Wollondilly Anglican College
Andrew has over 20 years experience as a Chemistry teacher and is currently the Science Coordinator at Wollondilly Anglican College, Tahmoor. He coordinates the Year 7 & 8 paper for the International Chemistry Quiz and has been involved with writing the Catholic Trial Exam. He has been marking since 2004 and has been a Pilot Marker, Judge and Senior Marker
