The Young Scientist Awards Program is NSW’s premier STEM competition for K–12 students, celebrating excellence in scientific investigations and technological innovation. Since 1992, it has inspired students to develop their Working Scientifically skills and undertake independent depth studies aligned with the NSW Science curriculum.
Students explore real-world problems, conduct original investigations, and design innovative solutions — building key skills in inquiry, critical thinking, and creativity.
